Hospital Operation Theatre Table

An Operation Theatre (OT) Table, also known as a surgical table or operating table, is a specialized medical table designed to support patients safely and comfortably during surgical procedures. It is a central piece of OT equipment that allows surgeons to position the patient optimally for different types of operations.

Modern OT tables are highly versatile and come in manual, hydraulic, or electro-hydraulic/electric models. They are built with sturdy frames, adjustable sections, and radiolucent surfaces (for use with X-ray and C-arm imaging). The table can be adjusted in height, tilt (Trendelenburg & reverse Trendelenburg), lateral tilt, and back/leg positioning to meet surgical requirements.

Adjustable Height

Can be raised or lowered to provide surgeons with ergonomic working positions.

Multi-Position Adjustability

Allows Trendelenburg, reverse Trendelenburg, lateral tilt, and flex/extension positions for different surgeries.

Sectioned Table top

Divided into head, back, seat, and leg sections for patient positioning.

Radiolucent Top

Enables use of C-arm, X-ray, or other imaging devices during surgery without repositioning the patient.

Manual, Hydraulic, or Electric Controls

Operated by mechanical levers, hydraulic pumps, or advanced electro-hydraulic/electric systems with remote controls

Sturdy Construction & High Load Capacity

Designed to support patients of different body weights safely.

360° Rotation (in some models)

For flexible positioning during complex procedures.

Detachable/Interchangeable Accessories

Such as arm boards, leg supports, headrests, and anaesthesia screens for specialized surgeries.

Anti-Microbial, Easy-to-Clean Surfaces

Ensures hygiene and infection control.

Emergency Backup (in powered tables)

Battery support for uninterrupted use during power failures.
